Marina Picasso's Nurse Heroes NFT Art, Framed On-Site by LAGO

Why artist are collecting each other's NFTs.

In an exclusive event hosted by Marina Picasso, granddaughter of Pablo Picasso, SuperNurse NFTs were auctioned off in Cannes in order to generate scholarship funds for future nurses. LAGO was honored to be included in this incredible event, produced as a collaborative effort between the Picasso family, the Global Gift Foundation, and Nurse Heroes.

The evening’s itinerary included a red carpet rollout, partnership showcase, gala, and brunch, all intended to welcome each guest in a special way. Guests were invited to walk the beautiful grounds of Marina’s estate, which displayed the NFT art, framed by LAGO, at various spots.

The overarching goal of the event was to emphasize and celebrate the value of nurses and the need for financial support in the nursing field. We’re pleased to share that the first two SuperNurse NFTs went for over $100,000, effectively financing the education of healthcare professionals.

Marina chose NFT art as the primary medium for this benefit because of her evolving interest in the field. It began when her son, Florian, introduced her to the concept and together they embarked on several NFT projects. As Marina says, “I find that it’s a modern technology that allows us to connect with art.”

LAGO is grateful to have been part of this initiative, and we hope to continue working with the likes of Marina and Florian Picasso to continue pushing creative boundaries.
